A complete socket fusion range for HDPE piping systems, with fittings from 20mm to 110mm and a clear heat-fusion jointing method.

Chezy HDPE Socket Fusion Fittings (PN16)

The socket fusion system is used in jointing HDPE pipes ranging from 20mm to 110mm by the use of heat via a socket fusion machine.

Overheating or applying too much force when pushing the pipe into the socket may result in the pipe collapsing inwards, reducing the flow rate in the pipe. The same Chezy 2-in-1 pipe insert can be used for both PN 12.5 and PN 16 pipes. Our pipe inserts provide internal support to the pipe during the jointing process, preventing the collapse of the HDPE pipe during the heating and jointing process.

Socket Fusion Jointing Method

Four clear steps based on the supplied catalogue installation procedure.

Step 1

MARK the insertion depth and PLACE the pipe insert into the pipe.

Step 2

Use the right size bush, SETUP the welding machine. Wait until the required temperature is reached (230°C–260°C).

Step 3

PUSH the fitting and pipe into the respective bushes and heat them until the required heat time is reached. Refer to Table 1.

Step 4

Pull out the fitting and pipe. Push the pipe into the fitting and hold them in place as stated in Table 1. Leave the joint to cool for 2 minutes.
